Huge props for Montana-Dakota-Utilities

Quite hard to imagine that not so long ago a blizzard came and stuck us for a few days

The skies are blue, the temperatures soar here in July, but in April it looked like we would never bask in the summer sun, but isn’t that always the case here in North Dakota? We may have a winter or two in a row where we come out of it virtually unscathed and dodge severe blizzards, but unfortunately this year has not been one. I have to admit I was very lucky as I lived in North Dakota for over 8 years and never experienced anything close to what I saw just three years ago month.

I’m sure like many other residents of Bismarck/Mandan, when the blizzard is in full force mode you are worried about losing energy

I constantly had this fear, “What if?” everything I take for granted. Montana-Dakota-Utilities is always aware of everyone’s concern, and due to their incredible efforts in the terrible weather conditions, they were recently recognized nationally. According to Kfyrtv.com “The utility received the Edison Electric Institute’s Emergency Response Award last month for its storm recovery and assistance efforts after more than 18,000 customers lost power. Despite the severity of the storm, MDU was able to restore power ahead of schedule, have all customers online within two weeks. It’s kind of nice to know, even through such a torrential mess, that there are men and women who go way beyond the call of duty to make sure BisMan is taken care of.
