Montana Powerball Jackpot

Just in case you didn’t know, tomorrow night’s Powerball jackpot is over $1 billion right now. Of course, that means millions of people will be rushing to buy tickets, hoping to be the world’s new billionaire (well, technically a multi-millionaire, after the government gets its cut).

I think it’s safe to say that we all sat down thinking about what we would buy if we were to earn this money. I know I have; in fact, I already have plans made just in case.

Many people paid their bills, gave money to their children and grandchildren, and then put the rest into savings. I realize this is the responsible and practical thing to do, but let’s think outside the box for a moment, shall we?

So here’s my question for you: If you were to win the billion dollar jackpot, which one would it be? not practical something you would buy for yourself?

Check out some of the responses other Montanese had:

“I would buy an entire theme park” -Katelyn

“A great vacation for my whole family in Alaska, Ireland, New Zealand and Thailand” -Michelle

“An Island” -Jenny

“Taco Life” -Meg

“A trip around the world at no cost!” -Jessica

“A unicorn sweater for every day of the year!” -Danell

“A great ground for a dog rescue” -Nick

“A Cancer Center” -Joan

“A WNBA team!” -Kate

“I would buy a ranch here which has over 10,000 acres and a helicopter to and from the airport where I would also have a private jet.” -Gus

“My non-practical thing would be a house in the mountains for my whole family, my own family compound on 20 acres” -Red

“A House in Hawaii” -Victoria

“A large piece of land where I could build a cemetery!” -Shayla

So what about you? What is the impractical thing you would buy? Would it be something to help others, or something you always wanted but couldn’t justify spending the money on?

Let’s be honest, with a billion dollars you could do both and you still have tons of money left over.

Montana’s private island listed for $72 million

The largest private island west of the Mississippi River is located on Flathead Lake in Montana. The island which extends over 300 acres includes two “villas”, the main villa and the guest villa. The main villa is over 45,000 square feet and has an underground shooting range.
