Washington Huskies Morning Links: Huskies take home Halloween win on the farm
Happy Monday to Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.
Husky’s defense and Peyton Henry kept Stanford in check on Saturday night, well enough for the offense to make a scintillating final practice for the winning touchdown. Maybe Stanford doesn’t have the same power they did under David Shaw, but Chris Petersen has never had an away win against the Tree. Whatever season it is from here, this has to be seen as a special win.
While the passing game continued to be inconsistent, the defense delivered a solid performance. And if it hadn’t been for a questionable 4th penalty, UW might have held Stanford (the only team to beat Oregon this year) without touchdown.
How effective has Washington’s pass defense been this season? The Huskies lead the Pac-12 in yards per play allowed despite ranking 10th in yards per carry allowed. Nationally, they only trail Georgia in yards per authorized pass attempt.

Fans of the Ducks and Dawgs call it “Hate Week”.
And they know why.
But to help the rest of the Conference understand, tell us why the Washington-Oregon rivalry is making your blood boil and your manners are going out the window …
